Polaris Sensor Technologies, Inc. has developed a stereo vision upgrade kit for the TALON IV robot.

The upgrade package is made up of three pieces:
- Polariz3d 3D display
- Gripper Stereo cameras
- Mast Stereo cameras
| The basis of this upgrade is the flat panel Polariz3d 3D display that has been fully integrated into the TALON operator control unit. This upgrade provides exceptional depth perception in a full resolution, full color display. Integration into the current TALON robot is easier than ever, with a field upgradeable drop-in replacement display in the OCU and field upgradeable cameras on both the Gripper and the Mast as well as an available TALON OCU software upgrade for OCU touchscreen control of the mast cameras' convergence. All upgrades have standard electrical connections for the TALON. The drop-in display has a high brightness back-light for daylight viewing as well as high performance anti-glare and anti-reflective coatings. Stereo video multiplexing is built into the cameras’ electronics for use over standard video link and de-multiplexing is built into the display electronics. |
